Freddy the Fire Bellied Toad is sick :'(

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I am desperate for some good advice. I took in a FBT a few years ago and haven't had any trouble until recently. He has been losing weight steadily and though his appetite was normal for a while he has been regurgitating all of his food. The last few days he hasn't wanted to eat at all. I'm really worried, I love the little guy, but I can't afford a trip to the vet. I'm wondering which medicine I should try, and where I can obtain it, if anyone can offer such information I would be very grateful!!!!

Maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic or something that targets parasites? Please help

I'm sorry to hear about your frog but it sounds like aa trip to the vet is needed. Without knowing exactly whats wrong theres no way to recommend what type of medications to use....and then you'd have to know how much to give him.

If you want it to not die then you will have to take it to a vet or take it to a amphibian expert. I am really sorry, I know how it feels not having enough money for things! I have to save up $150 to get my Fire Belly Toad. I hope everything goes well!
