Hello everyone!
I haven't got my frogs yet and im just wondering if i would need to mist my vivarium if it only has
fake plants?
The frogs im planning to get are Green tree frogs and i know that they don't need as high humidity as other frogs.
Thanks everyone!
Yes, would would still need to mist to maintain a humidity level. Live plants are used to help raise and keep a good humidity level. Using fakes plants usually means you need to mist more often than when using live plants.
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped
1.1.1 Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain
1.1.0 - Dendrobates tinctorius - Powder Blue
1.1.0 - Ranitomeya vanzolinii
Agreed with Don. Even if you use fake or live plants you will have to mist regardless.![]()
Cool, thanks!
Is distilled good for misting or is rain water ok?
if you use fake plants you could use a fogger for humidity
They should be alright. The room humidity is around 50% and im pretty sure that GTF only need 60%.
But i'll look into the fogger if its needed.
Thanks
is there a reason you don't want real plants? Real plants add so much more to a viv
