My little baby white's got sick and passed away last week. I felt so horrible about it... he was a about the size of a quarter, just a little fellow. His color had gone from the light green to really dark and he stopped eating. I remembered seeing on here that trying to force feed them doesn't work, so I was just trying to tempt him but it didn't do any good.
I decided to get another dumpy, but an older one. I thought maybe because Wink was so small, maybe he was just too delicate. Or maybe he was already sick when I got him? I didn't get my new dumpy from the same place, and he's I wanna say maybe 3 times the size that Wink was. His name is Winky II, because I really love that name for a frog. Winky is in the same tank, but everything was cleaned with frog-friendly cleaners and the coconut fiber was all changed out so that Winky wouldn't be exposed to whatever Wink might have had.
Winky will be moved to a bigger house, because Wink I was so small he didn't need a full sized house. But Winky is quite a bit bigger - not nearly full grown but still bigger. He needs more space. he's much different from the first frog, more active and is ALWAYS hungry lol. The first Wink didn't eat nearly as much so I don't know if that was maybe a sign of him having poor health when I got him, or if it was because of his size.
In any case, I've had Winky II for about a week now and he seems to be thriving very well. I just love him!! But I miss my little guy![]()
