I have an 18"L x 18"W x 24"H vivarium (33g) for my whites tree frog. I have no focal point plant, and I am still looking for one. I want to get a big-leaved plant that would fill an empty void the vivairum currently has. Right now its just a bunch of small plants sitting there looking ugly. Thanks in advanced.
Looking for "big leafed" plant that can also stand up to a White's...
If you can not find the "right" plant, look for a piece of wood that you like and wrap pothos around it. It will fill in a look like a tree or bush. Basically making a topiary.
Or a schiffilara (never could spell that correctly). A great plant that is forgiving. It can also grow hydroponically and grows well in low-medium and high light. The best part, in my opinion, it is easy to bonsai, regardless of how large a schiff could get, you can keep it to the size and shape that you desire by cutting it back, removing the branches that "don't fit". It will also develop arial root systems or roots growing over rocks/wood, giving the terrarium an even more natural look.
My WTFs loved the Tiger Striped Bromeliad which I picked up at Home depot or Lowes. Here is a pic of the one i had in a 18x18x24 ZooMed

Hi BettaShawn,
There are several large leaf philodendron as well as the usual trailing/vine type:
philodendron - Google Search
Some of these have leaves that are 8-10-" across ! :
1-gloriosum- this got so large I had to take in out of my viv !!! BUT it would be great for a Whites's
2-pertusum
3-Katak --I just bought this one ( it's small now- can't wait for it to grow out-it has very strong leaves- and is more upright)
4-'Rojo Congo'
