Infrared light inside vivarium?

please stop reposting same questions that you have already asked. This is basically the same thing you had going in this thread http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...-vivarium.html You shouldn't put any light inside the viv. If it puts off any heat at all the frog will eventually come in to contact with it and do damage

Sorry for reposting but i don't think i worded my other question very well.

I know that they shouldn't be used but why is it that every pet shop i go to they all have it inside the viv, with a cage around it?

If they were dangerous, why would they even sell it?

Do you think i should return the cage and buy something so it can sit on top of the viv, not inside?

pet shops are not always the best place to get your information or look for examples on how to set up enclosures.

For any type of frog, again, i highly suggest you don't put any light fixture inside the tank, put it on the outside. If you need more heat, then put a heat mat on the side of the tank
