Stop trying to tempt me.![]()
This just reminds that I need to work on my tank this weekend.
I've got the addiction too. My next purchase will be either a strawberry frog (Blue Jeans, maybe) or a Bumble Bee, can't decide. Then I'm getting really excited by the mossy frogs. Of course, I haven't satisfied my need for a totally different species, a crocodile (red-eye) skink. I love their bark. Oh my, what's an old lady to do?
I second that! lol
Oophaga pumilio is a very small frog and is quite territorial. Dendrobates leucomelas is much larger and is considered a good "beginner's" dart frog. D. leucomelas is also considerably cheaper when compared to O. pumilio. If you have never kept dart frogs, I would go with the bumble bee over the strawberry.
Try advertising them more locally. (Ask to put up adds in local stores) I'd help you out, but I live in Maine and would never be able to get them.
Good luck! (if all else fails there should be a rescue type place somewhere in the state that would be willing to take them. My neighbor did that with a baby squirrel. It was weird.)
I've been seeing the blue jeans available, but there expensive $700.00 a pair. Luckily my addiction is controllable at that price.
Alpha Pro Breeders
How much is shipping to 78748? Are they hard to raise from tads?
They're a pretty straight forward species to look after.
