If they're green because they've been dyed then no. You need to find out whether they are dye free before feeding them to your frogs.

just ask them if they have color don't feed them to your frog because they may have dye in them because it attracts the fish

DO NOT FEED THOSE TO YOUR FROG!!

Other than being injected with dyes, earthworms are NEVER green.
Try a Sports Outfitting store like Academy or Bass Pro Shops. They will usually have regular Nightcrawlers.

Petco/Petsmart have regular night crawlers for $4.99 per dozen, and I've also bought them from Big 5, Sports Chalet, and Sports Authority in the past in their respective fishing sections. They usually have a small refridgerator in the back somewhere where you can just grab a container of them. Big 5 usually keeps theirs up front near the door and cash register.

Excuse me, but did you say 4.99 for 12 night crawlers? That sounds realy expensive. We sell them over here (Europe) for appr. 12.00 for a kilo = appr.100-150 crawlers, depending on size.
Are all feeder insects that expensive in the US? Just wondering.

Depends where you buy from I get night crawlers for $2.99 a dozen at a local pet shop. Most websites sell theirs cheaper and you can buy bulk. Which is much cheaper then pet stores.

Still quite expensive. We buy them in bulk and divide them into portions off appr. 1/4 kilo and sell them for $ 3.00 at our shop.
    Arecrickets, etc. that expensive too?

Crickets usually run a $1.00 per dozen. The place I go to gives deals on bulk like after 10 dozen its $0.75 so not too bad at all!

Here we sell crickets by weigth. crickets are in plastic boxes and contain between appr. 60 to 120 crickets. price is $ 3.00. We also sell bulk. Bulk contains 18 boxes and costs $ 16.50.

$4.99 for 12 nightcrawlers does seem a bit expensive! I buy both Canadian Nightcrawlers and sometimes the Trout Worms from my local WalMart for $3.59 for a 25 count. I don't think that's too bad. I work at a local pet store as well and get my crickets on discount.

But, back to the Green Crawlers - DO NOT feed them to your frog. They are fed a product to make them glow to attract fish.

I get the canadian night crawlers from walmart for $1.50-$2.00.. Not bad, but you have to check and make sure you don't get a container full of dead ones

idk exactly what they use in the green crawlers, but my mom used to raise worms, and she got a bunch of those once just to see what would happen... After they were kept in normal soil with normal food for a couple of months they started to look normal.
