Are Green Tree Frogs active during the day?

Hello everyone! Thanks for clicking on my question.

So, i am trying to decide weather to get green tree frogs or Red eyed tree frogs.

I am new to frogs and all so i probably will go for the green tree frogs but i am wondering if they are nocturnal.

They are hardy frogs and don't stress out so i think they will be great and if they are active during the day, that will add to the
very long list of positives of these frogs!

So, just a simple question.

they are both nocturnal. and red eyed tree frogs are definitely nocturnal.

I thought I would ask since they are located in Australia and I know "Green Tree Frogs" over there are "White's Tree Frogs" here. However, I suppose either species it wouldn't matter as you've mentioned in your second post above they are definitely both nocturnal. I have both Hyla cinerea and Litoria caerulea. I would go with Red Eye Tree Frogs for something more colorful.

not sure how hardy greens or whites are...but from my experience red eyes are sort of...well. fragile i guess is the word im looking for. id definitely do your research before getting red eyes. and find someone that can help you with whatever problems you may stumble upon. i wish i would of done that before i got mine. just a heads up if you have any questions about red eyes feel free to PM me

Thanks guys but ill clear it out for you.

Im probably not going to get the red eyes because they are fragile and im just a beginner. And im in Australia and they are called Green tree frogs and in the US they are called Whites Tree Frog.

I know they are nocturnal but do they move around a bit during the day. I went to a pet shop and they were awake, all in a line and it was so cute.

BTW, im in South Australia
