what the best wayto keep crickets alive??? lots of them keep dieing on me. i feed them, watter em, and keep them in a warm place. is this just normal or is there anything i can do to make it harder for them to die??? im just sick of losing ten crickets in a day.
This is one of the many reasons I dont keep crickets anymore but make sure your keeper has plenty of ventilation too much CO2 can kill them fast also never put in direct contact with O2 that'll kill them too how do you water them?

well ther all my frog will eat. i use my sqiurt bottle and spray a couple time, they love to drown themselves so im afriad to put a bowl in ther. dumb things. lol well its just a normal cricket keeper, so ventalation seems fine to me. i try to get dead crickets out when i can cuz ik it kills the others so fast...not suprised since they smell so bad when they die lol thanx for the tip.
my guess would be its the misting, see if you can order "Water Crystals" and use those (you'll have to make them but its easy and very efficiant 1 oz makes like a gallon of water crystals) for now use potatoe and carrots they wil get the water out of them
oh carrots is all i feed em. lol where would u get water crystals?? never heard of those b4.
Petsmart sells them pre made anyplace online you can order crickets or roaches

any pet store should have water crystals
Hi Savannah,
Very often, you may think you are looking at a dead cricket ( cricket bodies) when you are actually looking a its shed.
A shed will move easily if you gently blow in its direction. Like a feather.
Look very closely at what you think is a dead cricket dead; or is it a skeleton?
What do you think? Let us know.

Instead of buying water crystals, You can ball up toilet paper and wet it down every now and then. The crickets should drink from this. I seen it a lot on Youtube..
Savannah,
Don't spray them. They are fools and drown easily! Especially if they are small.
Warm and dry with a separate dish for clean water at all times!
( I use dampened cotton balls - de-chlorinated water)
I put the cotton ball in the bottom of a cheap bathroom cup - with a hole cut in the bottom for the crickets to crawl in and out of .
A shallow bottle cap works well also. Just make sure they can climb into it.
