    Default Algae Problem

My ACF tank has gotten overridden by thick, spongy algae over the last month. I have no idea what's causing it, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Does anybody have any suggestions that won't hurt my frogs?

What are your water parameters like? How much light is your tank getting? How many frogs? Tanks size? How often are you doing water changes?

Hard water, completely cycled. 20 gallon. Two frogs, five black skirt tetras (lived together for over a year, my frogs don't bother them apparently). Regular tank light, not near any windows. Once a week I do a 10-15% water change.

I would suggest maybe lower the amount of time your light is on as you seem to have easy to grow plants in your tank. I would also up the water change volume until it clears up to maybe 25-40%. I only have a java fern in with my frogs right now and since I moved 3 weeks ago I only run the light 2 days a week. The stupid plant has noticable grown.
