Question Diseased frog in tank for 1 month+, is tank safe for inhabiting again?

I got a tank from a pet store in which the said a frog had been diseased in the tank for a month plus. The frog was dead ON TOP of the substrate, and wasn't touching the glass. I took the tank outside and power washed every area of the tank with my hose. I then used soap and water and pressure washed again. I want to put a leopard gecko in the tank, so would it be safe. The dead frog didn't have any maggots or anything, just dried up.

i would think it would be ok. i would use a 10% bleach solution or a cleaner made for tanks. i think there is a vinager solution too you can use. just google how to clean a tank. make sure you get everything clean and also the lid if it has one. but i think it should be fine.

I agree w/ mrzoggs. It needs to be cleaned including the lid!
If you are concerned about rinsing the bleach really well; in the last rinse--- let the lid and the tank soak w/ water using your water de-chlorination product in the water.
If you should have any metronidazole on hand. You could throw a 250 mg tab in clean rinse water or put a teaspoon of liquid met in. Rinse, rinse, rinse !!!!!!
The met. however , is probably overkill ! But kill is good on bad tank bugs, old or new !!! Ha! Like mrsoggs says there is plenty of good if . Do a FF search.
