Enclosures of frog breeders.

Hey there guys,

Ive been away for a while but am back now and excited to get back into learning about all these new morphs that seem to be around now. I have been looking through posts pasted by breeders like ivoryreptiles and mikes frogs and in almost all of the the pacs look clean and vibrant in color. When I look into my albinos enclosure he is always filthy. I understand that the pacs posted by breeders are probably soaked before the pictures are taken but im still interested to see how the frogs are kept. So breeders can you post pictures of how you keep your pacs? thanks.

I am not a breeder, but know how they are kept clean and showing their true color potential. If kept on Paper towels that are kept very moist or wet the frogs true colors come out and are very bright. Some will stay bright even if kept on coco fiber, but not often. The coco fiber seems to darken and dull their colors and as they like to hide while burrowed they will purposely dull and darken their color to disguise themselves. If kept on heavily moist moss it will also bring out their colors.

I'm sure one or both of the breeders you asked for will post some pics soon, but hope the explanation helps.

Here are a few pics. One is of the basic rack. The others are of the frogs in the tubs. I keep them on either paper towels or a plastic mat you can find at a michaels Craft store for 59 cents.

You can also keep moss in the tubs with the plastic mats and it works well.

thanks Mike this is so much cleaner, but ive invested in the enclosure already so maybe when i get more pacs ill start a rack tub setup.

Thanks for the all info grif. So it was my understanding that coco-fiber was the ideal substrate to keep them on, but if I could keep my frog on a cleaner method so i can show off all his color then even better.
