    i mostly feed crickets and nightcrawlers , but also butterworms when i dont have any crickets or worms

    Butterworms is what we call Tebo larve here. The frogs love them and since they have a high level of calcium, I think they are a good food source although they also have a high fat rate so must not be fed as a main food source. Almost the same thing can be said for the waxworm (larve of Chilecomadia moorei). Tese larve live in beehives and consume mainly beewax and pollen. They taste very sweet, like honey but contain mainly fat and these are known to give impactation in amphibians and reptiles if fed too often and in high quantity's
