Toad: Yay or Nay?

If yes: what kind? American, Oak, Fowler's, or Southern.

Any thoughts?

Most likely toad, since it is so dark. Probably Oak or Southern. It is very hard to positively identify tadpoles, so you will just have to wait until they are frogs/toads to know for sure. Here is a good identification website. http://www.cnah.org/pdf_files/430.pdf
