after going to costa rica a couple times my wife and i simply fell in love with red eye tree frogs. how could you not? my wife then decided we were going to try and keep them, possibly breed them.

reaching out to a friend, who is an assistant curator of the reptile exhibit at audobon zoo, we found out he knows the guy who breeds red eyes for the audobon aquarium! at that time he had a group of tadpoles that were just turning into frogs. he said they would be ready to go in a month. so we set up a vivarium and awaited their arrival.

a few weeks later we were told to expect a dozen red eyed frogs within the next week. when the day to pick them up finally came, we were given 20 little red eyed froggies!!! for the moment they are in a 18x18x24 exo-terra, we weren't expecting to receive this many. we have a few 36x24x24 showcase cages we are going to set up to accommodate the large group we have.
