    Default Silicone problems

So i finally finished with carving out the gs, grouting, sealing, and got around to siliconing the final background. Unfortunately the silicone which was supposed to be clear is like a cloudy whitish clear..... super bummed out. I guess i put too much on ? anyone have any ideas for how to thin out the silicone and or get rid of all the extra thick NOT clear build up ?
