    Question Substrate moisture?

Have had my White's for close to a month now, so am still trying to figure things out. Can anyone advise if having the substrate very damp (almost wettish) is an issue? With misting the tank to keep the humidity around 70, and the displacement of the water from his bath area, its as damp as it can get without being muddy (there is about an inch of substrate). I read on the care sheet that "the bottom of the enclosure can be flooded with water about an inch or so deep (2.5 cm)", so would like to think this isn't an issue ~ but would appreciate any advice. P.S. Indy doesn't seem to mind it ~ spends a fair amount of time under a log ~ so is sitting directly on the substrate. Thanks in advance. Lisa

The substrate should be moist, but it shouldn't be dripping wet. If you grab a handful and gently squeeze it, water shouldn't come flowing out.

This is referring to a false bottom. I believe the Red-Eyed Leaf Frog care sheet has more info on this.
