I hope this doesn't sound like a lame question, but I have to ask it. I just set-up my dart frog tank and I'm just admiring it and waiting for the long settling process.
My centerpiece is a standard Cryptanthus spp with a lot of red in it. It's growing great and one of it's pups fell off when I was planting it and in turn I've planted the pup.
Here's my question: The edges of this plant have teeth on it. Is this okay for frogs? I know this plant is used a lot but can those teeth hurt a frog?
Most people I've talked to advise against using plants with sharp or pointy edges.
Thanks for replying. I never came across that advice in my research. It also goes against every PDF enclosure I've seen on YouTube or Google "images". Some of those pics and videos came from pros on this website and that other PDF website.
Thank you for replying. I appreciate your information and I'll take it under advisement.
I use plenty of Cryptanthus in my dart vivs and they provide plenty of climbing space. you will find they grow pretty big over time and either need to have leaves cut back or the plants replaced.
