    Default Rip :(

I lost 1 of my adults today. I have had her/him for over 5 years, but I don't know how old he/she was when I got him/her. I now have the 4 adults. I am not sure what happened. He/she did not look ill, so I am hoping maybe it was quick. One of them did turn black while going through a shed early in the week, but had gone back to bright green, so I don't know if it was the same one or not. none of them were losing weight or showing any signs of being ill, so I am baffled.

Thanks guys. I woke up this morning and checked on the 4 adults and 13 toadlets. I did not lose any of the toadlets last night, but I lost another one of my adult. I did a complete cleanout of the adult's enclousure in case it was some sort of illness. Right now I have changed the last 3 over to a water bowl setup other than the aquatic setup they had. I have had them about 5 years, but I am not sure how old they were when I got them. Could it just be old age? I love my froggies and I hate when I lose one, let alone 2 within days of each other. Could it have anything to do with them laying eggs? perhaps it was too much for them? I guess I will never really know what happened and hopefully the remaining 3 do alright. One positive thing is I have their babies to look forward to growing up At least I will know their age, so I shoud have a good 10+ years with them.

Awe , I'm sorry. It's always heartbreaking when we lose one. I hope the rest of your adults and all of your babies do well.
