I feed him mostly nightcrawlers. Every once in awhile, I'll feed him a mouse, but nothing excessive.

I see from the third picture you also feed him superworms. Are you afraid of impaction? as they cause this commonly

I have never had a problem with impaction with superworms. Since I moved my pixies out of substrate, I haven't had any impaction issues. I limit the super worm intake to about ten per feeding.

They like them. They are fairly easy to get to, and the superworms wiggle a lot. So, the pixies go after them pretty quickly. The nightcrawlers are more of a chore. Their tongues seem to have a harder time sticking to the nightcrawlers.

Nice male! Im feeding my youngster alot of superworms to and never hade any problems with the poop. But is it good to feed them superworms as they grow(nutrients and so on, lots of fat)?

Im also feeding some dubia and crickets.

    Best regards // Stefan

I don't think superworms would be a great staple, but as a snack here and there, I haven't had any problems. Most of the time, the pixies get nightcrawlers. About once a month, or when I can afford it, they get mice. About once every four months I buy a bunch of superworms from Josh's Frogs and have them around for supplemental food.
