I have also had this happen. leave a carrot in the cage for the crix to eat. If you do not want them to survive dont give them any moisture at all in soil etc .

You could try a dry-ice method. Take out your frog(s) and put the dry-ice in the tank -- saran wrap it and the co2 will suffocate the crickets.![]()
Place a small glass round bottom bowl down into the substrate so the substrate is right to the top edge. The crickets seem to fall in and the bowl is too slippery for them to escape from.
