First let me warn you that superworms are very bad for your Pac if Fed to often. Like mealworm(a very close rlelative) have very dense chitin that make up the exoskeleton that covers the worm. When fed too often can lead to impaction(severe constipation) and death.
Also it is recommended that you do not feed your frog a pinky mouse until your frog reaches atleast 2.5" SVL(Snout to Vent Length). If your frog is not large enough to handle a pinky they can become Impacted or develope a prolapsed intestine.
He/she looks great though. Very striking colors and pattern.
Yea I was only planning on feeding him/her superworms maybe once every couple weeks...and I will hold off on the pinkies then...it tong feeds great on great crickets...but yea I can't wait till I see what the color develops into
Such a beautiful frog! Looks like a strawberry too![]()
Ok sounds good what kind of fish should I try I heard guppies are good...or what can I feed the crickets for the best color enhancement for this guy
Great looking frog!
Just something I noticed in the pictures, if you're not putting him in a different container to feed him, you should remove the rocks and moss. Those are both impaction risks, because the frog will eat them accidentally when it lunges for food. Eco-earth cocofiber is good bedding and doesn't cause impaction if they eat it.
I've heard you can feed the crickets carrots to bring out red/orange in a frog, but that might just be a wives' tale.
