Hey folks, I already have a little bit of conflicting info,we have a 30gallon habitat with coco and a heat mat,question is do I need a light source? Temp. Range is very close to 75 with the screen closed which would be ideal, but if I open the screen for air, then the temp , humidity drops. I have read not to use lighting for frogs because it will dry them, I do have access to an emmiter, which is better.
p.s. the frog is not here yet trying to get habitat set before Wednesday.

need to know what kind of frogs we are talking about here. Though for most frogs the light doesn't really matter. Lighting is more for the plants growth.

What's most important is the temp and humidity for a particular frog species. If you have a screen top you can cover a portion of it with saran wrap or have plexiglass, glass, or plastic cut to cover 3/4 of the top to help keep humidity up.

I do not have a pixie, but I'll ask my friend who does what the temps and humidity should be.
