Are they wild caught? If so where did you. Catch them? To me they look like toads
Hi, I found your forum while looking for help identifying these two frogs I was given as a gift. Unfortunately the pet store they were bought from was not helpful at all, and I want to make sure I'm giving them the right habitat and food and so forth. I've uploaded several images of them to imgur here: frogs - Imgur
They look like they might be african clawed frogs, except they don't appear to have webbing on their back toes. One of them, the smaller one, is a mustard color and was pretty lively when I got him, though today he seems to be more intent on sleeping than anything else. I'm not actually sure he's a male but he is the smaller of the two, and they appear to be the same breed (is that the right term?). The larger one has moved around the aquarium a bit more today but reacts more whenever they hear a loud sound (the aquarium lid creaks whenever I open it).
Right now I've got the water level in their aquarium deep enough that they can submerge in it in parts, or be fully above water in other parts should they choose. So far they seem to be preferring being partially submerged, although this morning they were fast asleep under the water. I haven't seen them come out of the water fully. Earlier one of them made a light chirping noise, not what I would associate with a toad but then, I'm really not well educated on frogs at all.
Edit: I mention toads because they don't have the smooth skin I would associate with the african clawed frog, and from what I've seen on the internet it would appear that toads are the most common type to have rough, wart-like skin. I haven't handled them at all (used a net to move them into the aquarium) just to be safe. They aren't that big, the smaller one is maybe an inch and a half and the bigger one no more than two inches.
Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi, no they were not wild caught, they were bought. I'm leaning towards toads for sure.
So when you bought them the people didn't tell you what they were?
No they didn't. They just said to make sure the aquarium had three to four inches deep water and some dry areas, and places for the frogs to hide.
Well if they are toads just get a water bowl for them. They don't need that much water
These are definitely Toads. I'm going go suggest that you post their pics in the Toad section of the forum. Someone there should be able to assist you in identifying what species they are. To me they don't appear to be the same species of Toad which means that they should not be housed together. Hope this helps some.
