    Default Adult Caatingas

Just got this pair of adult caatingas. They have some issue. I was dissapointed when i recieved them because they have turned feet issues and can hardly walk. Hopefully I can fix this. But anyways here is what they look like

I smell malnutrition due to a lack of supplementation. Their colors are quite beautiful none the less.

Grif...Do you think it was just because of lack of supplements or because it was fed a poor diet w/ no supplements? From my research earthworms and dubias should be able to provide sufficient nutrition.

Both actually. Lack of a diverse diet causing them to not get all the vital nutrition they need and also a lack of supplementation to provide the vitamins and nutrients they need and are not getting from a lack of diverse diet. MBD(Metabolic Bone Disease) probably begining to start.

I am no expert, but this is probably the cause of the turned feet.

As far as I know. MBD isn't genetic. usually its caused from a lack of calcium and Vitamin D3, but there are genetic bone density issues. Like Scoliosis. That could be the cause of your Cranwelli's twisted spine.

Philippe says these guys are different. A lot of problems start when giving too much vitamins. But it may also from being placed on only water.

That's terrible. I have heard that keeping them on bare Toads or plastic can cause the muscles to stop working in the legs. That sucks. Is it fixable ?

Atleast the paper towels allow them to grip something so the muscles don't stop working. Water on bare glass or plastic is rediculous.

    Lol!! Oh yeah.

I put terrarium carpet under the substrate so they aren't sitting on the glass in their urine.
