    Talking New Addition!

Here is the newest addition to our froggie family. We got a juvenille green Cranwelli on Friday. Not sure on gender, but will be referring to it as a male just for simplicity. No name yet (I like to get to know their personalities first so I can pick a name that accurately reflects it). I just took a couple of quick shots. I didn't want to stress him out too much. It didn't seem to be a problem though. He showed no signs of stress. He didn't even breathe heavy when I moved him into his new home. Grif and Loki have grown so much that I forgot exactly how tiny the babies are! He is barely the size of a quarter (I'll try to get some size shots soon). He is so tiny that when I set him in his enclosure he hopped off my hand, landed on one of the leaves of his plant, and actually stayed on it for a few seconds! :-D

He is very alert, active, and seems to be very healthy. He had no problems settling into his new home. He ate six little crickets the very first night and was still looking for more. The last three he took right from the tongs!! I was amazed that he ate from tongs his first night!! :-D Last night, he ate TEN crickets! The first one I dropped in and he immediately jumped out of his hole and grabbed. The other nine he took from the tongs. As soon as he saw me with the tongs, he hopped to the middle of his enclosure and sat and waited for his food. Two days and he already knows when dinner is and that the tongs=yummies! He shows no fear; he stares directly at me while he waits for his food.

Here are a couple quick shots:

That's funny because I've actually thought about froggie leashes kind of like the ones they make for Iguanas and Monitors. Of course that would never work for a frog. Only Bobby would call psomething a booger and mean it as a compliment.

    Thanks Lynn,

All very good name suggestion. Its always hard to give them names. I always look to see how their personalities pan out before naming them.

All suggestions are appreciated of course. ;D

Well they have "skateboard" like wheel attachments for injured turtles, I could see combining the two
