    Default Hello from Washington

    Hi all,

I'm excited about finding this new frog forum. I keep mainly Dendrobatids, lots and lots of Dendrobatids.... Also we have a breeding group of Agalychnis annae that we successfully spawned this year. We are going to try to breed what we hope are a pair of Melanophryniscus stelzneri soon.

I look forward to getting to know many of you and learning about different species of frogs.

    Hi Tom,

We have been keeping and breeding Dendrobatids since the early 90's so really almost every type. We do focus on the smaller species such as R. fantastica but certainly are not limited to them.

Yes, the A. annae that Lee has are offspring from our breeding group. Lee takes wonderful photos.

We got the Melanophryniscus stelzneri several years ago and we simply never have tried to breed them, so fingers crossed we have a viable pair. One is big, one not so big!

Thanks for the nice welcome guys.

    Hi Christina

I'd be really interested to know how you get on with the M.Stelzneri. I had a group of these a few years back but never got them to breed - they are amongst my favourites!

    Thanks everyone,

I really hope we have a pair on the M. stelzneri, that's obviously the first hurdle . Second, that little toad that we assume is a female is really hard to catch in the tank we have her in, who would have thought! I'll keep you all updated.

As for our Dendrobatid list, I'm not sure I have the energy to list them all right now (long day at work), but like I think I mentioned mostly the "thumbnail" sp., i.e. R. fantastica, R. imitiator, R. variabils etc... O. pumilio, A. quinquivittatus, A. galactonotus, A. bassleri.... and a few other things.
