Default Prepping live plants (making "pesticide free") Help?!?

    Hey All,

Any "How To's" on Prepping live plants (making them "pesticide free") for a WTF enclosure?? Originally, I was planning to use fake everything.. and now, the more i read, the more I'm convinced - Living vivarium style is the way to go. Still intimidated by pesticides and / or harmful plants.. I've got a very small zoo-med right now, w/ false bottom (elevated eggcrate) and a layer 2.5" plantation soil. A Cork wood background (and yes, some plastic foliage to start) Lastly, am I relegated to "spot cleaning only" once I go natural?

    Please advise

    thanks!!

have you ever heard about CO2 bombing? If you don't have any inhabitants in the tank yet you can bomb it with co2 to kill off any bugs that may be hitching rides

I've seen it done on youtube, but my wife would probably flip if i was fabricating a home-made bug extinguisher ~ instead of re-finishing our kitchen...
