Do you have any rocks in the enclosure with him? Is it a bump/pimple like growth or does it look like a rub area,

Not a rub area for sure. She is off to the vet in a few hours. I just hope it's something simple that can just be cut off or drained and not life threatening. I love this little toad. They all think I'm crazy at work for taking her to the vet, and one of the ladies said I should feed it to my snake. I told her I hope she never needs a favor from me.

It's a small cyst, the vet was able to drain a little from it, gave me some Quadritop Ointment (Nystatin-Neomycin Sulfate-Thiostrepton-Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment) to apply twice a day. I'm also going to try damp warm compress to see if that helps. The vet said it could be from a puncture wound, insect bit (no bitable insects in viv) then just said not sure. Poor toad.

That's one thing I've found down here, they usually get you in the same day or the next. I could have taken her yesterday, but since it didn't seem life threatening, & I had to work I waited til today. Now if it WAS life threatening any of my critters would be seen right away and work would just have to deal with it. The owner of the company knows how important my critters are to me.

Glad that the wound wasn't life threatening, I know what you mean about loving your toad. I've got 5 Fowler's Toads and I love all of them, they've really grown on me. My father thinks I'm nuts for having frogs, but I don't. I like frogs, they're unique

It's going down slowly, I think she'll be fine. She's a tough little gal.

Tomorrow it'll be one week. It looks much better and I'm happy with the results.
