Nice cage design

Here is a Vivarium I recently built for my adult female Cranwelli. She isn't in yet. I'm allowing it to grow.

That's amazing. I tried using live plants with the cresteds I had but it was more work than it was worth and ended up using fake plants, which they were perfectly fine with.

Anyway, here's my current setup. It's a bit sparse. I read that they like to have a sort of enclosure as it makes them more comfortable, so I wrapped it with some blue scrapbook paper. Also, under the leaves is a log for him to go into. He seems to like going under the rock, which I made sure was secure. One the left side I have an UTH, as from what I understand they like to thermoregulate (and is away from the water).

Please feel free to correct me if I'm doing anything wrong. Any suggestions on further designs would be more than welcome.

I apologize, but I think I missed what you were referencing in the care sheet. I just woke up, so that could be why. I just took the temp and it's in the mid-70s, which I read elsewhere was okay (I've read a number of caresheets and have been trying to follow their instructions), but I can insulate it this afternoon if that's the issue, so the tank can hold heat better. I'll stick in my hydrometer this afternoon as well, so I can keep track of the humidity, but I have been misting his cage to make sure it's humid. I really like the little guy, so don't want to do something stupid to shorten his lifespan. Again, thanks for all of your help. It's much appreciated. This is definitely one of the more newbie friendly forums I've been to.

I've had plenty of geckos (crestie care seems to be somewhat similar), but am new to frogs, so I figured this would be an easy transition but there are some subtle differences that I wasn't aware of despite reading a bunch before getting him.

Nice guide though. I'll read through it again at work to make sure I didn't miss any glaring errors I'm making, but I'm really not sure what they are.

Daytime temp should be 80° to 85°. Nighttime temp should be 75° to 79° Babies should be kept no higher than 82° during the day and hover around 78° at night. Humidity needs to be kept at 70% to 80%. 80% Is best.

Be careful with the leaf litter. You do not want him to ingest any of it accidentally.

Ok, I'll definitely be insulating it then and adding another UTH if needed. The leaves are all fake. I was told that was okay. I don't plan on using live plants.

Here are some pics of the Exo-Terra 60 cm x 45cm x 45 cm I use for my 2 small Fantasy's. It's heated by a spot on top and 2 small UTH 7 watt on eigther side of the viv. included are a shelter, moss to bury in, live setled plants, a shallow water dish and and natural shelter. Humidity is controled by a fogger system, temp. app. 82-86° F day, nigth 70-76° F.
