By far the easiest feeder insect to take care of is any species of roach. They'll survive almost anything, and they'll eat almost anything. They have WAY less odor than crickets, and they don't make annoying chirrping noises. Just order enough to keep your critter happy for a month at a time, throw a carrot & an apple in there and you're good to go. If you wanted to culture the roaches just add some heat & a steady supply of dog/cat food.
