I know this has been asked and answered before, but I could not find a solid answer. If the wood i'm using does mold up can the mold be stopped inside the tank still? Lets say with isopods? or something of the sort. IF mold starts to grow on the top of the branch i'm using will the isopods climb up the branch and eat the mold? Any advise would really help me out. Also will the mold harm my frogs at all?
I'm not too experienced with this, but I've read springtails can help with mold? Someone can better clarify this for you..
I don't know if there is an isopod that would help, but be careful with mold. I had a piece of grapewood get moldy (found out after the fact it's not a super choice for humid terrariums) and it led to my frog getting a respiratory infection and dying and the wood was only in the tank about a week.
