Default Does your pac do this?

    hey guys,

My cranwelli only seems to poop like every 2 or 2.5 weeks but i have seen him going and its not like hes impacted or seriously struggling. Bubba still eats all the time like he should and acts normal but i have read that peoples pacs poop once a week! Im just wondering if my little guy is the only one that does this? i give him or her a bath every week but once it starts getting to 2.5 weeks with no poop i give Bubba a bath with one or two drops of honey in warm water every 2 days.

I'm no expert (I've only had my pac a month) but he poops regularly (after every meal). He might be impacted. What do you feed him? And what kind of substrate are you using. Some substrates can cause impaction if they are ingested.

They're all different. mine sometimes poop once a week and sometimes once every week and a half. I do need to know what you're feeding Bubba. and how often as well as how much.

Mine only goes about once every two weeks, sometimes a little more often. I constantly worry about impaction since it's longer than average, but I'm starting to think that that's just her schedule. After about two weeks, I also start doing warm water baths and all. What and how often are you feeding?
Is yours an adult? Babies go a lot more often than adults.
If he/she doesn't appear to be struggling or uncomfortable, I'd say not to worry too much, but to keep an eye out for potential impactions. Also, temperature and humidity can affect how quickly they metabolize food. If they get too dry or cool their metabolism will slow way down, but if that's what's going on they usually aren't as hungry either.

well Bubba mainly eats crickets and since he wont eat nightcrawlers i give him 2 hornworms a week to soften things up a bit. temps are held at 82 and humdity is fine since a have a fogger for that. When bubba does poop is not like hes struggling i think is just his routine. I feed him every 2 or 3 days and he is healthy size. I think im going to train him to each nightcrawlers and will wait 4 or five days without feeding to get him on them.

Put him in alittle deeper water where he has to swim some. That will get his insides working and he will poop quicker.

I had to do this with a lot of my venomous snakes years ago. They sit alot and it takes some moving around to get them to go to the bathroom.

You can also trick him into eating night crawlers. if you feed him the Hornworms. back to back or just one every day or so you can feed him a hornworm. and then right after he's prepared for another food item offer the night crawler. this how I tricked Grif into eating them and how she loves them.

Both of my pacs poop about every 3 days or so when eating crickets and dubias. If I feed red wigglers or night crawlers they tend to go that same night. I do put them in their water bowls every night after eating. It varies as to how long they stay in.

Good luck getting him on nightcrawlers. That should speed things up some

I wish I could get Trevor to take worms, but she's big enough now that she can stage a serious hunger strike if she doesn't get what she wants... I inevitably give in.

good news! bubba decided that he liked nightcrawlers tonight lol he ate 2 smaller ones and seemed to jump on them as soon as i dropped them in. But still no pooping yet lol but im not worried because it has not been 2 weeks yet but im going to now make nightcrawlers as his stable diet. I plan on getting a few more pacs, both ornates and they will be living off of nightcrawlers and hornworms to
