 Toad With Sticky Toe Pads?!?
 Toad With Sticky Toe Pads?!?
Hi everyone! I just joined because I am desperately seeking info about a big toad I came upon on a very recent trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I thought at first it was a cane toad since it was so big, but it had STICKY TOE PADS! From what I have been reading on the internet this seems impossible. Please see the picture I have included. If you look carefully at the visible toes you can tell that they are toe pads. About an hour before I took this photo I tried to take a similar picture, but he/she was a little more skittish, and I actually saw him/her climb down the side of the concrete column he/she is sitting on using the sucker pads on his/her feet. Can someone give me some idea about the identity of this beautiful creature? I had to leave the little rascal there since I had flown, but I would have brought him/her along if I had driven.

Wow! I would have never thought a tree frog would get that big! I just found a good picture of one on Google and it does look like the frog in my photo. Thanks for the reply!

No problem. That species is an introduced species to the US. They're considered a pest.

Yup, definitely a Cuban treefrog, Osteopilus septentrionalis. Its a big treefrog, but there are others that are this large or larger. Litoria infrafrenata, Litoria caerulea, Phyllomedusa bicolor, and Rhacophorus dennysi come to mind.
