It would be made of a hard plastic, just like the professional decorations. A solid piece of molded plastic, molded from a silicone negative mold that was taken off of a clay sculpture I would do.

Interesting, I thought about using resin molds for certain concepts, please post a pic when you get one made up.

I might be interested. I have an 18x18x18 that I am wanting to do something with.
How thick are you planning on making the tree base?
Would it be able to withstand high humidity well?
