Hi all, I'm in need of some help with the temperature in my ACF's tank. For the last couple of months the temp has been staying at a steady 78-80 degrees. I know this is a bit higher than is ideal, but figured it wasn't too bad. However this weekend the temp started creeping over 80 and I just checked the temp after feeding them and it's up around 87-88 which I know is WAY too high. So I unplugged the heater and here I am. I'm not sure if it's a heater malfunction or what, it's not a hot day or anything. I've had the heater for a year and half and it's been fine, always on he lowest setting (as it is right now). Now I don't know what to do. I know I can't plug it in and let them over heat but I also suspect that letting the temp drop fast is not a great idea either. I'm not sure how low or fast the temp will get if I just let it go without the heater. But I'm about ready to go to bed and am worried about leaving the tank to it's own devices all night. What do you guys advise?
