Default Pac Not looking so hot

well my pac has been acting a little weird i just changed the sub out in his tank the other day and after putting him back in he didn't burrow he hid himself behind the plants in a very odd position that to be honest looks sad and painful he hasn't eaten if a few days i just tossed a nightcrawler and nothing I dont know if i should leave him in there or try to move him... any idea? also all temps are norm both temp and humidity are @ 80 the only think i can think is my old purple 15w bulb burned out and i replaced it with a red night time 45w that i used to have in there here is a pic of him...

Did you clean the tank when you replaced the substrate? If so, what did you use?
Sometimes mine acts funny right after a substrate change and cage cleaning, even though I only use vinegar and rinse it out until I can't smell it anymore. I think they realize that something has changed about their cage, and it sometimes freaks them out.
Bright lights can bother albinos, but a 45 watt night-time bulb shouldn't be too much.

If he continues acting funny and refusing food, you may want to move him just to check and make sure something else isn't wrong.

If your pac doesn't get too stressed out by being handled (some freak out, but some are pretty calm about it) it shouldn't hurt to take him out just to check and make sure nothing's wrong.

He may just like hiding under the plant... Sometimes they won't eat if they're 'hidden' or burrowed.

nope mine seems to hate being handled always squirts when i hold him feel like I'm just hurting him i never understood some some peoples pac would just chill in their hands? perhaps its because i don't handle mine enough? always assumed it was bad to? mine is def legit scared on me i notice how it lowers itself every time i get near the tank....

How did he react when you cleaned the substrate? Is any strange smells coming from the enclosure? Did you expand. the new substrate with de-chlorinated water?

we need more info. did you add or change anything's position within the tank? they don't like ch change and it can seriously stress some if them out.

    keep us posted.

You may need to give him some space. Be sure to keep an eye on him. Look for any other strange behavior.

How moist is the substrate? are there any loud noises where he is kept? Did you awaken him for cage cleaning or was he already awake?
