my pacman frog had prolapsed cloaca and it got fixed he is eating fine but only pooping dots 1-2 days and he is in warm water now to make him poop i dont have substrate or any moss nor plants. but why is he like that pooping only few???
What do you mean by dots? They problem could be that the prolapse didn't heal correctly or is swollen inside your frog. You need to take him/her to a vet that specilizes in amphibians. The only thing I can tell you to do is to soak him/her in warm de-chlorinated water with 4 drops of honey disolved in it. The honey and water solution acts like a natural laxative and also reduces swelling of the cloaca. He/she needs a vet to really solve the problem, but this may help.
Keep us posted.
we also dont have a vet in our country last 4days he pooped red thing with a big long poop and now he is pooping 2-3 days tiny bits of black poop will he be ok? i had a yellow frog who got impacted i dont know why dont have java moss or rocksand im really sad that day will my other frog be ok?he's biting me also
Its not unusual for a Pacman to bite. They bite to defend themselves if necissary and some are just down right mean. I can't say for certain that he will be ok. I am no expert and have never had. One of my frogs get a prolapsed intestine, but have helped people on here treat them. I believe the instestine was damaged and once it went back inside ot didn't heal correctly which is causing his problem. I would try the warm honey bath I mentioned. Let him soak in the water honey solution for 10 to 15 minutes.
He truely needs a Vet to confirm that he will be fine and to really figure out what the problem is. What are you feeding him?
STOP feeding him mealworms imediately! Their exoskeleton is comprised of too much chitin that is undigestable and can cause an impaction. This is more than likely why he had a prolapse. From now on you should feed him earthworms or night crawlers. They are very easy to digest and do not cause impaction. They actually make it easier for them to poop. Crickets are also fine. Try waxworms as well absolutely no more mealworms or superworms.
I'm sorry, but I cannot say for sure whether he will die or not. If his bowels continue to be unable to work properly then the outcome looks grim. I wish theire was more I could do from here, but I'm extremely limited from across the world.
Post some pictures of him and his home. Try the advise that I've given and see if it helps him.
Keep me. Posted.
Hi Jerome! I would suggest for you to follow Grif's advice. I know your dilemma about finding a vet specializing in exotic pets. Send me a pm so I can give you the name of my vet.
PS. Please don't feed mealworm to your pacman so as not to aggravate it's current medical condition
Not while he is having trouble with his bowels. Get some earth worms and feed those to him.

You are not providing the proper home for your pacman. This will describe the setup you need to house your Pacman correctly. Johnny888 can help you find a Vet. Let him help you as well.
Follow my advice and keep us posted.
can i take him to our dog/cat vet?its name is animal house vet but i think my mother wouldnt want me to bring it there cause she said that people will run away and get scared of it but can i give him wild caught earthworm with soil?
and also can i give him our garden soil in his pet carrier with shallow dish.
No. You need to buy them from a pet store or off the internet so you can be sure that the earth worms are chemical and parasite free. Otherwise the wild. Caught ones may. Make him sick. The soil cannot come from nature. You need to buy some Eco Earth Coconut Fiber Substrate or Plantation soil. Do not buy Coconut Husk. You should be able to find what you need from a pet store. If not you will need to order it from the internet.
I can not stress enough that you need to research your pet before you get it. You should always provide the correct and proper conditions for them to live long healthy lives. It is not entirely your fault, but this happens way too much.
Let Johnny888. Give you the number for his Vet. A regular Vet will not know anything about Amphibians.
then he's going to die supposemy parents wont allow me to bring them to vet like my iguana last time it had ant bites our friend's guest told to spray chlorine on him after 2 days it died he was an expert in lizards only well i think my frog will die how many % will he survive?
Do not lose hope. You must keep your wits about you so that you can care for him and try to save him. So stop saying that he will die and bringing yourself down. Fallow the advice given. Feed him earthworms and soak him in a warm De-Chlorinated water bath with 4 drops of honey disolved in the water. Chlorine is poison to reptiles and amphibians. He was not an expert or he would have known that the chlorine would kill your iguana. It will also kill your frog. They must have water that is treated with a de-chlorinating agent or use bottled natural spring water.
Try the warm honey bath and buy some earthworms for him. Try and find some Eco Earth substrate to place in his keeper. The substrate must be moist, but not muddy.
Do not lose hope and do your best to care for him.
Keep us posted on his condition.
PS) It is normal for them to poop only every 3 to 5 days. They do not poop everyday.
What do you mean you release him in your room? Peel the mealworms? If you absolutely have to catch wild earthworms to feed him just make sure there are no chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides sprayed in the area you catch them from. Rinse them off with de-chlorinated water before feeding them to him.
Grif, I think we are dealing with a kid here. I already dropped the names through his pm two of our local vets dealing with exotic pets.
@jerome:It seems to me that you are not reading all the suggestions being advised to alleviate the current medical condition of your pacman.
