I haven't posted in AAAAAAAGES!! Anyhoo, my 2 White's are growing brilliantly and are currently feasting on fruitflies. The frog I was worried about (I thought she was too skinny) has plumped up a bit. They're now settled in their 45x45x60cm exoterra, and I have fish in there now.
I went to the pet shop last week (not the one I usually go to) to get some more fish (4 leopard daniosand a weather loach to add to my 3 zebra danios and 2 neon tetras) and the guy asked what size tank I had. When I told him I was going to put them in with my frogs, he looked at me like I was completely mental and asked "And the frogs haven't eaten any fish yet?"
Are my fish REALLY in danger of being my White's next meal?? So far, I've kept the fish and frogs together for 6 weeks with no trouble
Didn't think tree frogs hunt fish..........![]()
hi katie..... i dont think they eat fish.. i read some thing on them saying in the wild the largest they will go is smaller frogs & some small reptiles......
havent heard of them eating fish tho........
Your fish are not in danger. I have been keeping my White's for years with fish, no problem.
Welcome back.
Thanks guys! That's pretty much what I thought! At the moment, the fish are bigger than the frogs so I know there's no danger right now. Just another example of useless pet shop workers![]()
I doubt the frogs would be able to catch a fish. However, my White's Tree Frog, Balu, loves to sit in front of my little desktop tank and watch the neon tetras swim by. Sometimes he will jump at the fish, open mouthed, and try to eat them. Obviously he has yet to succeed, and I don't think Mr. Lazy would be quick enough anyway if given the chance!haha
