At my local plant nursery they have blocks/mini bales of cocofiber for $13.00 it expands to 2.5 cu feet. Lasts me 4 months or so depending on how often I change the cages. Its much cheaper than buying single bricks of cocofiber.
Nice! I have no idea if we have a plant nursery around here. lol.. Guess thats something ill be looking at. I just got 3 bricks of coco fiber for about 7 bucks. Sounds like your may be a better deal? haha.
It might save you a couple dollars, but you get a lot better deal than me on single bricks. 1 brick will cost me $5.00 at the petstore. Hydroponic shops would also have it too. The bale of cocofiber is about 8 bricks so you would be getting two bricks for free.
I picked up those $2 bags of all natural top-soil at walmart in the gardening section, but my frog started acting different when I had that as his substrate. Just a little heads up if you get the urge to buy some of it because it's cheap. There might be a few other brands that are considered more safe for your frog, but it's worth it to just stick to coconut fiber even though it's a little more expensive. So I switched back to coconut fiber and it's all good again.
