Hi I was wondering if you could catch a grey tree frog or chorus frog in the southern us? Or any other frog not a toad. And if you could where?![]()

My Cope's grays were wild caught in Louisiana.
Any chance in Texas?

List of amphibians of Texas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia according to this, it's possible.
Because the only frogs I have are toads, I see maybe 1 tree frog every year, and a frog that sounds like a horn

I want to do some field herping out here but I have no clue where to go. Theres a nice wooded area with a river/lake on the air force base I work on but I don't know if I'm allowed to go out there. I see airmen fishing in it all the time though.
I would love to go frog herping but with my fear of snakes , I am too scarred
