Here is my homemade soaking dish I use ,if needed, for my tree frogs.
A 'rubbermaid' 1.25 cup ( found in the supermarket)
The lid has small air holes. Made by sticking it with a very hot old kitchen fork.
The holes have to be sanded on the inside of the lid.
Some of the little melted areas are sharp !!!!
Use just enough water ( treatment solution )to reach just below the frog's chin.
If a average size red eyed tree frog were to lean up against the side; their butt would still be in the solution.
The frog can be safely transferred to this right w/in the enclosure. ( reducing the risk of an emergency 'frog leap')
( using clean, wet , rinsed hands or disposable clean wet gloves without powder)
Don't even think about using those cloves twice !!!!!!!
The container can be left in the viv w/ the lid on.
When done the lid can be gently removed and let the frog climb out --therefore reducing any additional handling!
I put it through he dishwasher and then soak it in clean water to eliminate any left over dish soap remnants.
