What are the temps im lookin for i have a hermit crab heater would that be good enough to use
Do you have any good ideas for a hide
Something like this:
I think would make a good hide. I don't use hides, as my frogs are kept in my room which is in the basement and my room has no windows. The only light my frogs get are from the heat lamps on my other tanks & enclosures which are on timers throughout the day.![]()
Follow Jessica's advice its spot on.
Try to get the day temp to 82 or 85 and maintain 80% humidity. If the frog does not eat for another week and begins to lose weight you may have to force feed your frog. This is only to be used as a last resort so don't jump the gun right away. Keep stress as low as possible.
Keep everyone posted.
Also, do us all a favor.....read the Care sheet.......it won't take much time & will answer alot of the questions you have. If you still have questions after that, then please do ask. It's why we're all here....to help each other out. But do some research first. You are asking basic, simple husbandry questions that have been placed in the care sheet as a guideline for folks to follow.
Good Luck!
Pac Man frogs can go awhile without eating so I wouldn't worry unless he is getting to skinny or looks unhealthy. My frog has gone a three weeks without eating and then he ate a dozen large crickets. After that, he went back to his normal eating pattern. I won't leave crickets in his/her cage for more than three or four hours. Crickets can contaminate their environment and honestly, he has gone after them by then, he isn't going to. One other thing you might want to try is locate where he is in the cage and then use something to block of most of it so the food is located near him/her.
