what tree frog would be a good companion for a gray tree frog other than the obvious gray
It's not recommended to mix species... For the safety of your frog as all frogs are toxic to some degree. It may harm your frog to mix species.
It's not recommended to mix species, HOWEVER - if you feel the need to get your Grey Tree Frog a "companion" then Green Tree Frogs can be mixed with no harm done to either frog. I assure you, though that your Grey Tree Frog does not need a companion and is not lonely.
I'd keep my eyes open and look for another Gray Tree Frog.
Your best bet is another gray. In my opinion you shouldn't mix grays and greens unless you know what you're doing. Not a good idea for a new frog owner... Grays can out eat greens, causing greens to go hungry. I have my own setup with grays and greens in it. They have been living together for over a year. Nothing bad has happened, but I still wouldn't recommend a new frog owner to be mixing species, as they might not recognize signs of hunger or stress. Just my opinion though........
I agree with the above comments! A green would be the only other frog I would even consider mixing with a gray. You really need to have enough space to mix these two. I would highly suggest that you stick to another gray!![]()
