Well, my little boys are growing like weeds! It's wonderful (And addictive!). Watching them develop over the last few months has been an absolute gift, I adore them completely. It's hard to imagine how I ever came home without hungry froggy faces waiting for me! I honestly never thought that such little creatures could ever bring so much joy into my life. On our property we have horses, cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and one very aloof ferret... Yet some little amphibians who accidentally swum into my life have been such an incredible learning curve and such a treasure. I would never give them up.
Some of you may have seen my previous post of when they had just turned into froglets from tadpoles: Here
So here is my update!
This is Lou now! All athletic and slim, he is a big eater but an even bigger climber/swimmer!
Bubba has not only gotten longer, he has gotten much much wider. Nothing much has changed in that regard, he will still eat anything he thinks he might be able to fit in his mouth:
As you can see, he loves his meals. This is him shortly after a big feed:
Very pleased with himself, he didn't think he could fit that last cricket in, but he did.
Thrall is a good little hider, it's rare to see him out but when he does, he is always very close by Bubba. Only a weeks difference in morphing time and look at the size difference. (All of my froggies get 'tweezer' fed so it isn't a nutritional issue).
So that is my update for now! But there will always be plenty more where that came from.
Gosh bubba is adorable, but be carefull for him not to get too fat, haha.
I love Lou, his gorgeous.
Dawww!!!!!! What cuties!!!! I just LOVE that smug little smile Bubba has.
Love the pics, you have some pretty cute lil kids there!
Ohh yes Bubba is always very happy with himself, he seems quite proud that he can eat more than anyone else.
