There's a customer who comes to my store. She has a White's. Blue phase, I believe. I sold it to her family.
Her frog escaped. They found it a few days later, and it had cut off one of its toes. They put it back in the tank and they're feeding it but she says it's a purple colour now all the time. Every week she comes in and I ask how it's doing, and it's the same. It won't die. She won't take it to the vet, because for the cost of that, she could just wait it out and get another frog (though I don't think she wants another anyways. It's really her son's pet though).
I'm thinking that there's nothing else I could suggest to her other than to take it to the vet. You guys have any suggestions?
I think she's waiting for it to either change back to its original colour and look like it's going to be fine, or to die. It wasn't actually her who bought the frog, but it's her son's pet, but her son is very young, so I bet she's doing the work of taking care of it.
Just keep it clean to prevent infection.
