    Default Cannot eat?

So i have a Rana.temporaria which is basically the European version of the leopard frog found in the US (they have the same care requirements as the leopard frogs)
Its only about 1" long and it is wild caught but has been kept in captivity with me for about fortnight. (We have a pond and I wanted a frog but didn't take an adult because it wouldn't adjust) I don't know if its eating because when I have seen it "eat" it pecks ant the cricket and doesn't swallow it. I have size 1 crickets or size 2 which are 0.4cm I've bought a vivarium and have made a background and sorted plants ect could it be because of its temporary tank? I can't release it again because my cat and dog always kill frogs and my dog and cat don't actually kill them they just attack and rip of an arm or leg then leave it. Plus in England where i live we keep having sudden temperature changes because five minuets ago it was sunny and now its hail stones!
EDIT: It is fine with handling before it would jump up on the sides of the tank when i opened the lid but now it has dug a hole where she sleeps and when i open the lid she crawls out and plays on my hand (crawling across my fingers and up my arm) I don't think i could let her go if i did have a choice because i have grown attached to her and have "bonded" with her.

Try really small earthworms or chunks. Of earthworm. See if the frog can eat them. Also break the hind legs off the crickets to make them easier to catch. Some frogs don't like to eat those legs anyway so this could be the problem. Maybe even try fruit flys for such a small frog might be easier for the frog to eat since they're small.
