Is this an actual fly larvae? Waxworms are sort of a maggot, but I've never been asked or heard of offering fishing maggot as a food souce. As. Long as they are parasite and chemical free and your frog accepts them as a food item then its probably fine. Id like for. One of the breeders on here to give a second opinion though before I say that it is for SURE ok to use as a feeder.

Mmmmmmmmmm, maggots....... (It's only funny if you picture homer simpson drooling)

I'm not sure what creature "fishing maggots" would be (I'm assuming they wouldn't be toxic)- but wax worms are maggots that pupate into a moth, kingworms are baby beetles- both used extensively for a food source, so I personally don't see any reason the larval stage of another critter would be any different.

Except kingworms are bad- (too much chitin to digest I hear, plus there's the whole "eating their way out of the stomache" thing).

Other than being high in fat- wich would be good in a juvenile pac, or one that needs to put on some weight, but not necessarily good as a staple for an adult, my logic wouldn't see any reason to say no.

I'd say drink a couple beers then eat a few- if you don't get sick, you've got a place to recycle your unused bait.

I believe the "fishing maggots" he is referring to are wax worms. I would hope they would be okay to feed because I feed all my frogs them every once in awhile as well as my Anoles. More so my Anoles because they could use a bit of weight and they seem to love them immensely.
