Moist hands

So I was reading care sheets for white tree frogs and it said wash your hands and keep them wet prior to handling. Is there any reason for this besides not drying out your frog? Or why is this? I'm still just learning. Thanks

I don't know of any other reason than the ones you listed, other than my frog at least, likes it better when I mist my hands before I pick him up, it makes him more comfortable. Washing your hands, ensures that you don't have anything on them that your frog could absorb that is harmful to him/her. Just be sure you also get all the soap rinsed off as well.

I think they're a lot harder to handle when your hands are dry. They feel weird!

Ive found if i hold mine with not very moist hands there legs get a bit stuck to your hands, i worry about hurting there little feet & find it much easier with wet hands.

The oils and other ick on your hands can cause damage to a frogs skin.

For tree frogs, in my opinion, as long as your hands are clean (no residues of soap or anything), then it's fine to handle them wet or dry. I prefer dry. These guys hang out on dry branches all the time - they're not going to dry out in your hand.
