That little guy looks awesome! You think if you put that little guy in coco fiber he/she would gain color?

It stayed the same when i had it on coco fiber. I want to keep it on simple substrates while its a baby. I dont want a $3,000.00 frog killing itself because it eats coco fiber.

Why. Do you say eating coco fiber would kill him? From my understanding it doesn't harm them. Its the objects you find in the coco fiber that are dangerous. Like rocks/pieces of plastic tarp/easter grass/bread ties/chunks of bark/ live plant seedlings/large seeds/strips of rubber/and last but not least pieces of metal. The fiber itself sometimes causes mild constipation, but it depends on what you feed your frogs and how moist you keep the substrate. The real danger of the coco fiber comes from the actual fibers. You will sometimes find masses of thes all tangled in a. Ball. If your frog eats it, it does have the patential for impaction. All coco fiber should be searched through before use to make sure and debre.s and tangled fiber balls are removed. Grif passed one once and it had a lot of mucus around it due to her body trying to rid itself of the mass. She just took a couple days longer than usual to pass it. I've learned how to treat constipation for objects that are passable. Rock and other hazardous materials I don't even want to think about.

You will have to see the feeding videos of this guy. It is like most of the samurais that are raised on the pacman food. They bite at everything when its feeding time. The blues i have would miss the tongs and take a bite full of the coco fiber. I have seen frogs die from it and dont want to risk this frog.

Mutants are able to breed. They are the regular size that other cranwellis get.

The color is called a Mutant. They are out of a cranwelli x cranwelli breeding

Caution is always good, but i haven't heard of any dying from ingesting coco fiber. Possibly the frog that died due to this ate one of the tangled masses of fibers.

That frog is really kind of creepy, yet very cool looking.

I've always heard: "Rather be safe then sorry!" - If Mike chooses to keep his PacMans simple - then let him. Stop hounding him about the Coco Fibre. I keep all my frogs on coco fiber, but I also tong feed so there's less of a chance of them ingesting it. However, if they do (and some have in miniscule amounts) I know that it is digestible. My frogs have passed it just fine with no impactions or deaths. But, that is my choice. Just like it's Mike's to keep his Mutant on paper towels. If I were him, I would probably do the same thing. $3,000 is a lot for a frog to have die!

Left side is always clear. The right side looks like organs and all the other good stuff.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question... but are they happy on paper towels? don't they like to burrow? (i'm not judging, i'm seriously wondering lol!)
